Building A Successful Image Consulting Business

My dream in life is to inspire and empower people to reach their greatest potential and to be successful in their image consulting business. For that reason I am going to share some of the tools and tips that I have discovered through my own frustrating struggles in building my own business and not believing in myself. Therefore, my message to you is ?if I can do it so can YOU!?

The first thing you need to do is change your way of thinking in order to change your life. You need to learn to believe in yourself that you can do it and prepare yourself mentally to go outside your comfort zone in order to get on the Road to Success.

You have the knowledge, brain and the power to do anything you want to do. For many people, the key to success lies in overcoming the fear of failure, you will only fail if you fail to try.

Inevitably, you may face some obstacles along your way to achieving success – for example family, partner, money or credibility. As a mother of 3 beautiful but boisterous children and the wife of a high powered executive I am aware of the importance of having to juggle and cater for everyone?s needs, but at the same time not neglecting my own needs.? With some perseverance you too can achieve a balance between meeting the needs of your family and achieving success in your career.

Success can only be achieved through:

  • Sense of self esteem ? believe in yourself if they can do it so can you
  • Dedication and hard work ? hard work will generate success
  • Consistency – never giving up
  • Brand identity ? as an image consultant you are your own brand
  • Building your credibility ? network and be a part of empowering groups

Keep in mind it takes time to be well established in your field, but with a little hard work it is achievable.? It is achieved by providing your clients with good service and helping solve their problems to your best ability.? Also, by not being reluctant to tell your client if you feel unsure about a decision that needs to be made, and would like to tackle the situation by referring to a colleague for another opinion or researching the issue to give the client the best professional advice possible.? Your clients will appreciate your honesty and determination, and often that?s when they will recommend you to others because you were there to listen to their problem and delivered what the client needed and beyond.

Another way to promote yourself, your product and business is by holding seminars and workshops aimed at your target market. By having a group of people gathered in one place you will be in a favorable position to acquire new clients for individual advice or a group consultation.
